The expenses are described below, and consist of:
- Tuition fee (only non EU citizens) – 4100 EUR each semester
One-off fees:
- Administration fee – 250 EUR
- Book fee – 750 EUR
- Field trip – 350 EUR
Tuition Fee
Tuition fee are free of charge for students from EU/EEA countries and Switzerland.
Students from countries outside the EU/EEA
Due to Danish legislation students from non-EU/EEA countries taking a higher education in Denmark have to pay a tuition fee. This fee is EUR 4100 each semester (full-fee students) from 2011.
Please note:
• You must pay a deposit of 50 % of the tuition fee no later than two weeks after receipt of the admission letter.
• You will find details about methods of payment in the admission letter.
• The deposit is non-refundable. Unless you cannot enrol because your visa application was declined. Should this be the case your deposit will be refunded less EUR 200. Documentation of visa refusal must be presented.
Students who do not pass the 1st-year exams may re-take 1st year at a price of EUR 5000.
Administration Fee
This administrative fee typically covers:
• use of IT rooms around the clock and own e-mail account
• use of fax, and other tools in student workshop
• print for all projects – students have individual accounts
• use of telephone when making projects
• various handouts during studies
• student identity card

Book fee
All students will have to purchase textbooks and other educational material.
- All students (Danish, EU, non-EU) must pay a book fee of EUR 750 to cover the costs of books for the first year of studying.*
- The book fee must be paid no later than two weeks after receipt of the admission letter together with the deposit (non-EU students) or administrative fee (EU students).
- You will find details about methods of payment in the admission letter.
- The book fee is non-refundable unless you cannot enrol because your visa application was declined (non-EU students). Documentation of visa refusal must be presented.
- You receive the books for the first semester during the first week of your studies at the Academy.
- When you have received the books, any surplus amount will be transferred to your bank account.
- Other expenses for field trips and events must be expected during the study year.
* The expenses for books for the first full year of study will amount to app. EUR 750 which is paid upon admission.
Field trip-fee
The exact price will be decided during the education, depending also on students wishes regarding the trips. It is to be expected that the amount will be app. 350 EUR during the whole education, half of it payable in the beginning of 1st semester.
